I left early, but just got back from a New Years Party at our Alano Club. It was loud as hell in there...folks playing cards, eating pizza, jamming to tunes & having the natural high of each others' company. It's a trite AA saying but, "We are not a glum lot!" You don't have to give up "fun" if you want to stay sober.
To those of you celebrating a sober new year, have a good one. For those of you who might try sobriety in 2017, have a good one. For those of you who don't have a problem, or don't want to stop, have a good one! Bless us all! |

Thank you so much! You were a beacon of strength for me a few days ago when I was having a tough time, so I wish you and others struggling with addiction to have a wonderful New Year. It ain't easy, but it is possible! Happy New Year!

Sobriety is a wish for me that i hope to come true for the full year of 2017. I know it is possible since I have had 8 years sober in the past 2005-2014. I wish you the best too...and yes...I have MORE fun at parties sober than I ever did DRUNK. __________________ "I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell" (My girlfriend had this ringtone for my phone calls...lol) Bipolar 1 Anxiety Current Medications: Lorazepam Zoloft Abilify Gabapentin |
