I'm addicted to knitting now.

The good parts..i am on the computer less.
I watch TV less.
I can make nice things.

The bad...I do nothing else...eat, sleep, knit.

Just exactly what I did when I was drinking.

Going to cook a sauce...go to Fabric store and that is all I will do today.

I can relate. I knit pretty obsessively and always have it with me, ready for any down time. But it's definitely better than drinking.

Just watch out for the cost of yarn. If you get pulled into liking the really nice or specialty yarns, it can become quite an expensive hobby.

Now I'm abusing this as well...I finally stopped and I never really made anything except 1/2 of a pocket book.

then I wanted to learn crochet...then I went back to knitting.
I need a round needle..no use to knitting anymore until I get one...didn't realize that the needles only held so much.

I started to do a square blanket..and then thought that was going to be too difficult...so I will get a circle needle and rest until then!

Yes, as far as my health it is better than drinking
