It's been forever since I've checked in here.

Yesterday marked 8 months consecutively clean from meth. That feels so good to say!! In December I had 2 years sober from alcohol.

I've had this amount of time before, but never have I felt so strong in my recovery. I work hard every day to stay clean. Making sure I'm doing something positive. Whether it be going to a meeting, hanging out with a good friend, going to the gym..etc.

I stopped by the treatment center I went through the other day and one of the counselors said she could see the sparkle in my eyes. That meant the world to me. It’s because I’m genuinely happy today. I couldn’t have said that 8 months ago.

Today I'm happy with where my life is and happy with the direction I'm heading
Hugs from:

Way to go in both cases! I wish I could see that sparkle in your eyes. I've seen it before in the eyes of others & it's a sight to behold.

Congratulations, that's awesome. Keep up the good work, one day at a time.

It sure is! It's amazing to look at pictures today and compare them to the one I have from when I was in detox. Wow! Amazing.
