I'm struggling with IV cocaine use. Can anyone relate? I know that it's not incredibly popular to do this, especially if one isn't also a heroin user. Left up to my cravings, I would shoot coke at least once a week but the emotional consequences have led me to make the choice to stop completely. However I am dealing with some issues that "regular" cocaine users may not understand, the shame and guilt associated with IV route as well as the addiction to the ritual of IV drug use.

These emotional consequences stem from fear of losing yourself to the ritual.
The IV can wake anyone up to their senses if prevented early, just because of how bad it really is.

There's no other way than telling you, get yourself cleaned up. STOP SHOOTING NOW, while you literally can. Somehow this is the part where you'll ascend from a ritualistic destructive habit or descend into the void of it, where it'll only take longer and MORE emotional consequences to get out of.

Best wishes x

Thanks, it has been 10 days since I've used and feel better about it today than I did at day one. But the cravings are still there. Does time help or is there another way to detach from the romanticism of the ritual?

Hi hahahahah –

Congrats on 10 days! That is super awesome. I was not an IV cocaine user. Meth was actually my drug of choice, but I can relate to the addiction to the ritual of doing the drug.

Time has helped me tremendously. Also I try not to let my mind wander where I think about the ritual or drugs. Once I let myself do that too much I start craving and obsessing over the drug.

Keep up the great work.
