I bought a "fidget cube" off Amazon recently and I'm finding it so beneficial that I wanted to share it with everybody. I was a smoker for 15 years, and if I were still a smoker I would find this so helpful in quitting. I use it to stay calm when talking to my mom on the phone, and I use it throughout the day. I would think it could be a helpful tool for alot of addictions. My husband has one too, and he also has this spinner thing that he likes, too. Just thought I'd pass that on - you can just go to Amazon and check them out. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks for this!

I have a fidget cube, and I couldn't agree more! I ordered a tangle toy with some bday money, and it arrived today. I haven't unboxed it yet, but I'm planning on taking it to T tomorrow. I'll let you know what I think.

A facebook friend of mine has one of the spinner ones. He says it helps him with his anxiety. I ordered two of them the other day. I'm hoping that it helps with my anxiety and also helps my daughter too.

I'm so glad to hear that others here have discovered it! Childofchaos, I've contemplated getting the tangles for the last few months. Please let me know if you like them. Reb569, if you don't like the spinner, try the cube...or the tangle. I tried using my husbands spinner and I don't know if I'm extremely uncoordinated or what, but I couldn't get it to spin like he does. So, if one doesn't help, try another. There are a bunch of things out there, called "stim" toys, that can help with anxiety. So glad I came across them!

It definitely did help me stay present during my session. I also had to pull out the phone and play a game for a few minutes, but I found it a lot easier that it's been the last couple of sessions.
