I went to my son's fifth grade youth football kick off party and stayed sober! this is huge for me because social events and social anxiety are huge triggers for me. I drank water the whole time and it actually felt good....i thought it would be torture lol

Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!
One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand

Beautiful...and each time you get thru some event that you thought you needed alcohol for..you will become stronger...Keep it up...your son needs a sober Mom.

Trust me..I had 2 sons that did NOT have a sober Mom and they would have appreciated if I could show up for ANY event sober.

Congratulations. That's awesome. Social anxiety was a big trigger for me too. Every event you make it through, it gets easier. And I bet your son was really happy too.

Keep up the good work.
