I'm generally feeling pretty strong in my sobriety, and as a precaution take Antabuse so there's no way I'll drink. But for the past few days, I've had some wishful thinking, about how nice it would be to go have a beer on a patio, after the lock down ends.

I've been low the last few days. All due to the slip. My body aches and that just intensifies my mind. I made it 3 days. I hope that this last time was just a lapse.

hi guys first time posting here,
I was addicted to benzos, and a long list of pain meds for years and have been clean and sober for almost 2.5 yrs. I had a lot of help along the way and had to relapse a few times to get it right and still today I grapple with urges. I just want to let ppl know if they need any help or support I am always around. You can find me in chat or pm me or post to my profile. Just to let you know what kinds of pills and other rec. drugs I have a background with they are Weed, coke, acid, , Xanax, valium, Klonopin, Fentenyl, vicoden and oxys. I've been in rehab and hospitalized for the Rx drugs and kicked the rec. drugs on my own. Yesterday I hit the 18 month mark. I'm really happy about it as that was my previous best. Now I'm looking forward to making it to 2 years. It feels achievable right now.

I'm glad I kicked my habits when I did. For me, addiction and cravings is a non issue. My favorite drugs have either a supremely negative effect on my psyche or no effect at all due to conflicting drugs I'm prescribed now. So I'd be an idiot to want to use again. Cigarettes are the only thing that even come close to being an issue but my lack of money takes care of that. Plus my mom and I made a deal to quit smoking together, and if I start up again, she will too, so that's that.
