Greentiresforme, That's totally amazing. Congratulations.

Guiness, awesome news about your Mom. I can't imagine being sober that long.

I stopped using any drugs (my days were ruled by them previously) when I found out I was pregnant at the start of this year.

Sometimes like just now I feel lost or bored and just wish I had something to smoke. I hope I don't go back to it once I have had my baby, I find it strange and annoying that I still think about it so easily after 5 months.

Hi Lostislost,
I don't remember seeing you in the addictions forum before, so welcome.
Congratulations on stopping drug use for your pregnancy, there are some people who can't manage even that.
Have you perhaps considered looking into treatment or support groups, while you're pregnant and not using, to help you develop a plan to stay clean once your pregnancy ends. This could be the perfect opportunity for you to build some sober tools.
And having using thoughts or cravings at 5 months is totally normal. I've found that while the cravings have never really gone away for me, they become less intense and easier to deal with, with time.

Way to go Intrvrtd, keep up the great work. I know it can be hard at times, but it's worth it in the long run.

Food is my drug of choice, but I am now over 6 months abstinent from overeating and have lost 10 pounds. Of course I gained 20 last year and am still obese, so I have a ways to go.

I keep thinking about my psychologist that lost his **** when I bought a massive amount of drugs in 2017. I can't stop thinking about what he said. He called me stupid and accused me of wanting to be a heroin addict.

I can't stop thinking about how isolated I was, how abused and neglected I was. It doesn't stop. I feel like I'm in hell. I'm cursed.

It continues on into this reincarnation/future. The OCD is bad. I'm being tortured by my own mind.

All I tell people is the truth yet they keep misinterpreting what I'm saying and judging me based on what they think. People are so stupid.

I don't feel strong enough to get through this reality. I'm being eaten alive. No one believes a damn thing that I say. I've been gaslighted all my life in the most manipulative ways.

2017 is a long time ago. It's hard to leave the past in the past, but it will be healthy if you can do so and discount the opinions of the negative arseholes. Good luck.

I chaired my first double recovery meeting yesterday, since neither of the two regular facilitators could make it. My clubhouse asked me to step in and do it. I made a few mistakes, but overall it went ok.

Yeah so I’m back from a thc relapse due to dating an active addict.
I messed my brain up and caused a manic episode. I learned today it’s going to take my brain 6 months to get back to normal however my doctor is going to help me with medication. Ugh.

leomama, I'm sorry you relapsed. It happens. The important thing now, is getting back on track. I'm glad you have your Dr's support.

I chaired Double Recovery again this week. I hope I'll keep having the opportunity to do it again tin the future.

It was not being on medication that caused me to use thc again. It’s kind of obvious to me I have to be on medication , like it or not, which I have to acknowledge my illness, like it or not.
