The past couple days I've been thinking "my drug use wasn't too bad," "it would really help with feeling bored/anxious/lonely/etc.," "I miss those warm fuzzy feelings," and such. The IOP I went to was all about creating your own plan, and I just never really created a concrete, detailed plan, I figured I would just stop putting myself in situations where I could use and I'd be good. I am realizing these thoughts I've been having are the first steps to a relapse though.

my question is: what is your plan or some ideas for when you're getting that urge to use your drug of choice again and you're practically surrounded by it?

Do you go to meetings? That is what got me sober. Now with covid there arent any but I have a large supportive sober network of people that I keep in touch with that I could call if I needed to.

They still have meetings, they're just online. I joined SMART Recovery over the summer, but stopped participating because I found regularly talking about/putting energy into my addiction just made me want to use more regardless of what I was saying/doing/listening to. I kinda said "I'm just gonna deal with this when it comes up" and it's worked so far.
