I’ve been researching apps for online meetings not necessarily 12-step. To be honest I got sober with AA but have grown away from them for various reasons. @splitimage do you have any options that you might use?

@sarahsweets,

I do.

First, there's Women For Sobriety, They're my program of recovery. I just found them to be a better fit with my beliefs. They have on-line meetings and I think a few meetings by phone. They also have a web-site similar to this one where you can post for support or give support to other women.

SMART Recovery. It's based on CBT. I personally don't go to their meetings but I have a number of friends who do, and who love them. I'm pretty sure they have on-line meetings.

Sobriety Engine. On-line platform, run by sober nation. They have on-line meetings almost every evening. The meetings are led by volunteers. Most of the members have a background in AA, but the meetings themselves are not run as 12-step. But it does have a membership fee of I think around 10 USD a month. I'm trying to decide if I want to keep my membership or not as I only go to one meeting a week with them.

Soberful-life. Again an on-line community that I find is excellent. They have support meetings almost daily, and they're all led by professionals. they also do workshops on different topics related to sobriety. They have a podcast. It's quite a robust site, but it is kind of expensive. It's around 30 USD a month. personally I think it's worth it, but honestly couldn't afford it on my own, I was given my membership as a gift.

Peer Support Meetings every Mon. Wed., and Fri. over zoom, led by a certified peer support worker. They're basically check in meetings where we share our ups and downs. They used to be part of sobriety engine, but the host wanted to break out on his own. the meetings are private. If you're interested in checking them out, pm me and I can give you the zoom meeting address, I'd just need to confirm with the host first that it's ok to give them out. Meetings are at 12 pm eastern.

Hope this helps.

If you're ever looking for AA meetings 24/7, Online Intergroup of Alcoholics Anonymous | Building an AA fellowship anytime, from anywhere, for everyone is the place to look. It's a Zoom platform. AA ain't always my cup of tea either, but that's how I got sober. Congrats on the milestone! That's huge!
