I think I'm going to go to the Ontario Regional AA conference here this weekend. It's not like I have anything better to do, and I've heard it's really good. Apparantly they usually get between 3000 and 3500 people showing up and there are speakers from all over the place. Unfortunately my sponsor can't go, and I don't know too many people from my home group are going. This makes it kind of nerve wraking for me because I'm really shy. But I hope I'll see a bunch of people I know from the different groups that I go to, once I get there.

Well after 2 job interviews today (fingers crossed) I definitely needed a meeting so I went a registered for the conference. Went to one discussion meeting, and two speaker meetings. The main speaker - the one officially openning the conference was totally amazing. She was from California and had a great story with lots of positive messages about recovery.

i also saw a bunch of people from different groups I knew so that made me feel better, and even when I didn't know anyone, everyone was really freindly.

Looking forward to going back tomorrow for the full day.

Had an awesome day - lots of great speakers and I saw a whole bunch of people I knew, including my addictions councillor from my first treatment centre. Wound up hanging out with a bunch of women from my Sat. am Women's meeting & they invited me out to dinner with them, so that was really nice too, before the final speaker tonight. The sobriety countdown is tomorrow and I'm told it's awesome. I'm really looking forward to it.
