It says NON HABIT FORMING... but
I started taking just 1 or 2 pills a night to put me to sleep each night, but now I take 4, 5, 6 a night just to put me to sleep, and when I dont take them, I literally CAN NOT sleep. Is this an addiction? |

It could be considered an addiction. Or just a bad habit that you really should avoid. I Googled it, and the Tylenol website that going over the recommended daily dose (2 pills) could result in liver damage.
![]() Have you talked to a doctor about this? Perhaps getting a prescription for a sleeping aid would be better for you in the long run, since most OTC (over the counter) pills aren't usually for extended use unless under the direction of a physician.

Your body can develop tolerance to just about any drug, and tolerance (needing more to get the same effect) can be a sign of addiction. I'd suggest talking to your dr. about it.

I used to take so much tylenol that I could take it during the day and not feel sleepy. As split image says your body can develop a tolerance for just about any drug so if I were you I would be careful. Talk to your doctor about a sleep aid, but also be careful with those because they too can be habit forming.
