Has anyone used the Thomas method to quit narcotics. My son has become dependent on hydrocodone after injury and surgery. He is the only income at home and can not go inpatient. We are looking a way to do this at home.

I've used the Thomas method to quit using multiple illicit drugs in the past. It is a profoundly effective method in assisting to quit narcotic use but it is all in the mind and how he will handle it. The Thomas method is basically a nutritious/simplified detox way of flushing things out. Works overtime, don't expect A+ results in a day or two. I wish not to violate any rules here but if you don't have an rx for a benzo such as Valium there should be other things that can assist in times when the withdrawals are at their worst.

P.s: steer clear from rapid detox. More harm than good.
