When i looked at this forum about success ti is so long since anyone posted! One of my positives has always been the ability to focus on topics that interest me. This can be at work and outside work. I can remember years ago, a work colleague looking at me saying, i won't disturb you now, you are in one of your focussed zones, and its probably true. When i first stated to look at ADD, and I went to the library and was quite focussed on that too, it was pre-google days, and one of the things I read about was hyper-focus. Hyper-focus has served me well, and whilst I'm perhaps a bit of a liability on some respects at work, my ability to research and understand and dive into the detail has kept me going. And maybe it lets me a little bit get away with some social awkwardness that comes with me.

Conversely there are so many times when I switch off and don't focus and day dream, and I really have to stop myself doing that. That's easier when you understand ADD a little and what it does and maybe how other people think about what you are doing.
