My understanding is that anorexia stems from the fear of eating, fear of gaining weight. thus fear of the food when it is placed in front of an anorexic. Well it that is so if fear is the problem, you may want to try what I just posted in the Amxoety and panic attack forum re lookng at tv snow or static aborting panic attack. if you have an older tv set that gets static when the channel is turned to a non broadcast channel. such as when the cable detached in the back or if the tv box is turned to other than 4. Make sure there is no bleedthrough of broadcast channel on the channel you choose. . Make sure you turn the irritating sound off, its just the looking at tv snow or static that works best. You can look at the screen or it also works although less to have the screen in your peripheral vision. Then see if your fear is reduced enough to be able to eat. IT begins to work within five or ten seconds of looking at the screen or having it in your peripheral vision.

There are other reasons for anorexia than the fear of food......it can be the fear of that food making you fat....but there are a whole lot of other things behind it than JUST a fear of food that.
Have you ever honestly tried this with anyone with anorexia or is this just a theory regarding dealing with fear?. When someone comes up with theories like this....it's important to give more of the details behind where the theory came from if it's to be accepted.......please share more about this & where it came from & how it's been tested when deciding to share something like this
