I am trying so hard to eat proper meals everyday and snacks and I just can't manage it. There have been good days where get myself to do it. But recently, I just can't.

I NEED to gain weight. I am underweight for my height (I am 5'8 which doesn't make anything easier) and with my autoimmune disease(s), I need to be eating enough to sustain a stronger immune system. And I want to, I really do, I feel like I look disgusting. That no one can even hug me without saying "ow".

I just have no other way of coping with this. I needed to stop self harming. I needed to get my anxiety under control to go to doctors. I am losing every safety net I had and I am so lost.

I have a male relative about your age, a bit taller, very thin, he uses Ensure.

My mom has been talking about me getting Ensure. The problem is it takes me about 20-30 minutes to drink something I know has a high calorie content. The other night I got a can of diet coke and it took me 25 minutes to finish it.

I'll give Ensure a try. I just don't know if I can do it.

I highly suggest smoothies. That was one thing that really has helped me quite a bit because everything in them is super healthy so I didn't feel guilty about them. My favorite smoothie uses vanilla Greek yogurt, banana (frozen), berries and baby spinach (yes, I know that sounds horrible in a smoothie, but trust me, if blends right in and you can't even taste it). With this, you get protein, dairy, fruits and veggies all in one shot.

Thanks for this!

Thank you so much, Sing. I think I'll give that a try today. That actually seems more doable at the moment because it's all there (especially the iron from the spinach which I need) and I can take more time to drink it and still get everything.

You're very welcome. That's how I feel about them too. It's not too offensive, and has most things you need. Hope it works out for you!
