My mom has been kinda making fun of because of what I like to eat. I come from a long line of people who love to eat food in general but they especially like sweets. This is on both sides of the family. My mom is like the only one who likes her veggies she doesn't eat a lot of sweets and isn't a big fan of eating in general. She makes fun of my dad and talks a lot about how he likes sweets but he doesn't care. Well she tells a lot of people that I'm the one who drinks all the sodas, eats all the cake, eats all the cookies , etc. With me being the only kid still left at home all that stuff is dumped on me and sometimes my parents team up on me. Hearing them say these about me makes hide in my room while I make plans to exercise more, stop eating so much, etc., but as time goes on it's getting worse. I have moments where I stop eating completely until I snap out of it. Usually these things only last a couple of hours but lately these diets are lasting a couple of days. I looked up the harm in not eating and purging to discourage myself, but sometimes I'm not in my right mind and I feel like what I'm doing is for the best. I'm already super insecure I don't need anyone making it worse especially my mother. I know my mother and if I confronted about this she'd tell me I'm over exaggerating, but not sure if I am. Am I?

Doesn't sound like you are over exaggerating. I'm glad to hear you are reading stuff on healthly eating. That's a good start. I'm sorry your parents are not supportive and are even hurtful. Is there anyway you could get help such as therapy? It could help you with all these negative thoughs coming from your parents.
