My name is Dusk and I'm 17. I've been recovering from anorexia for over four years now. It's hard, and I've relapsed many times, but my BMI is finally on track. I need help and encouragement when I do relapse, however. That's why I'm here. I'm also hoping to give advice and support to those who need it. Thanks for reading!

Thank you for posting......it's a rough thing to deal with.....& it seems there is always a trigger down the road....something that stresses us into feeling like NOT eating......glad to hear you have been recovering for 4 years......that is truly wonderful.......it will be good to have more input on how to get through the difficult times......& I understand needing the extra support during the rough times also for yourself.

Welcome

Hello and good day dear ''Dusk'', that's rather a nice name! First of all I'd like to offer you a very warm WELCOME to Psych Central and all of the excellent things it has in store for you. Gosh, that's some struggle you've been having but it sounds as though you are coming out of the dark tunnel, easy does it though. I've had 33 years of every eating disorder over these years, having been first admitted to Psych hospital with anorexia all those years ago. Age doesn't enter into the matter, it is what it is. You WILL GET BETTER hunny and you have to strive for wellness each day, if not then you'll waste your life ~ you don't deserve that. Hope to see you around PC from time to time. Bye for now, HUGS.
