Basically I have struggled with body issues my entire life. Especially with my weight. I remember as early as 8 not wanting to go swimming because I hated the way I looked. Over the years it got worse and worse until I started to obsess over how I looked and how much I should way. This past summer I started to get really bad to the point where I wouldnt eat at all sometimes. I have since started to try and eat at least once a day but I am gaining weight and I hate it. I have never been to a doctor or anything but I think I might be anorexic. What should I do

Glad you have found Psych Central. Welcome.

If you are on medication from a doctor, discuss what could be contributing to weight gain and what other options are available that might not create weight gain. If you are not on medication, a psychiatrist can held with managing your health in a way that does not increase weight issues. Managing this with the doctor is important because your medications can keep any serious conditions at bay.

Cutting out most starches and carbohydrates, including sugar and alcohol, makes weight gain less likely. These foods are stored as starches and are sources of gaining weight. A diet of vegetables and protein with some fruit can give the brain the protein it needs to think clearly and still limit weight gain due to they type of food. Consult with your doctor or nutritionist.
