Hi. I eat very little could that be causing intense fear? The fear comes especially in the evenings. Could it also be causing other negative emotions like panic or guilt or loneliness or confusion? Also my mind goes blank often and I can't force myself to think it'll just stop thinking. Could that be because I don't eat?

I would say Yes. Think of the body having a normal reaction to low blood sugar; just as in someone with Diabetes----the symptoms include anxiety, shakiness, sometimes cold sweats, hunger, changes in mental status (confusion)....

Thanks! I also have a problem were my mind goes blank and I can't think for a while and I can't hold on to certain thoughts my thoughts just leave my brain could this be from not eating?

The not eating normally causes:

The mind needs nutrients to function just like a car needs gas to run. Not eating deprives the brain of what it needs to function & that would definitely be a cause for confusion & not being able to think. However I experienced things while I was having problems eating that were real.....the abuse of the home care person to my mother who was dying of cancer.......it irritated me because my pdoc was using my not eating to say that I wasn't seeing things clearly.....oh I was seeing clearly all right but it was definitely something that no one believed could happen....only reason the police didn't didn't get her was because I saw what she was doing & stopped payment on the checks that she wrote.

Yes. Your brain needs nourishment, it is an organ in your body in need of food, oxygen, and waste removal...

Eating too little can cause fear and I have all the problems you have on your list. The forgetfulness is the worst. I've been eating very low calories for 12 days that I began at the end of losing 25lbs. My entire body is going through everything that you have been dealing with.
