Due to the unique problems faced by those with ASPD and NPD, I was thinking that it might be a good idea to allow for a more open forum environment in these particular sub-forums. I have noted that many posts get taken down from the said sub-forums because they are offensive, triggering, etc. If perhaps there was a warning about possible triggering material that was displayed at the top of the page, a more lax stance could be taken on triggering and offensive content in these sub-forums? Thanks!

Personally I think that the nature of people in this forum and the NPD forum isn't quite covered by a trigger warning. I suggested in the past to have a header for these subforums stating that content may be more "extreme" and that people may be a bit harsh towards one another, due to their nature.

The icon at the top of my post here ( to the left of the subject) is typically used for this purpose for triggering content.
You can find this below the text box, when you go advanced under "post icons" You can also use this trigger code like CI has already said (the below content is not triggering, just is an example)
Possible trigger:
(trigger)This trigger code was done with square brackets around the word "triggers". In both sides of the code so it's escaped properly so the interpreter can read it. This appears like the example above(/trigger) Anything code with square brackets around it like this is interpreted as BBCode as it is an any vBulletin powered forum. If you follow these instructions, it should ensure the support team won't have to remove any more of your content. Some of these things should be posted in the community guidelines so this is more clear. Last edited by AdamLee; Mar 18, 2015 at 11:11 PM. |

The problem isn't that the content that is being removed is triggering as such - The problem more lies in the fact that individuals who suffer from aspd are naturally confrontational. What was requested here was not that triggering content could be posted, it was that a more lax stance could be taken on offensive behavior.
