I have question... Though I have never had a diagnosis of an anti social disorder
I thought I would ask your opinion Have been described as: Charming Lying Saying blunt things talking without getting social cues That the conversation is well past it is time. Being rude Being presumptuous arrogant Bold Sarcastic Clever Thoughtless. Not displaying the correct emotion May affect does not match what I am saying. Manipulative I will also add that for most of these I do not identify with these description. But they seem to be a recurring theme with the exception of lying which seems to come up only in a close relationship like a parent or intimate relationship. As for charming, this only seems to come up when I am being myself and perhaps bring a naive. Any thoughts on this being part of anti social behavior. I would appreciate any comments you might have. Thank you. |

So these traits are how you've been described by others throughout your life, and yet you won't even consider that perhaps there might be some merit to all of this?
This list isn't a description of ASPD except for the lying. However, this list has MANY traits of psychopathy. |

"...Even consider"? Interesting way to put it. I have considered it however, when looking at the driving motivation behind these descriptions internally, there is not a correlating match. Which is why other possibilities have come front & center when discussing in therapy. Also I should add that the MMP1 I took brought none of this up. |

my motivation is to understand what I am looking at so I can function in a world filled with Human Being that I do not understand. The need for this understanding For example Is not about controlling or getting others to do what I want as I would rather do it myself anyway. The purpose of understanding what I am looking at is to reduce my footprint and not draw attention to myself. Getting attention is a distraction from making and building things.
What is your motivation for interacting and observing? |

Why are you so hell bent on not drawing attention to yourself? I am genuinely curious.
My motivations vary depending on the situation and the individual. |

Because it is part of the trauma I experienced as a child both with my religious practices of my family & having dyslexia at an age when it was not thought of as real. Being different or sticking or being first in anything presents one as a target
I find most interactions with ppl to be very distasteful. I think this paraphrased quote from Bukowski sums it up when asked about being around people "Do you hate people?” “I don't hate them...I just feel better when they're not around." There is a slight caveat in that there are a few I do like to be around as I do not find them confusing. |

From the sounds of this, you seem like you're afraid of people.

not afraid only of bears
It is confusion and an input problem that is my concern. I may not be smart enough to be afraid of people. For example when I am on stage playing I am not afraid at all... In fact it is one of the few places I can be around people in a group setting where I have no problems... Of course I do not get over loaded with eye contact abs interpreting body language etc I believe I read some where on PC you are a musician. How do you experience playing in front of others? |

I am a musician for a living. I've always been fine performing. It feels like anything else to me, I just do my thing as it were. When people talk about things like stage fright I just stare at them, I don't understand it at all.
If it's an issue of confusion then why not work on learning how people work? "I may not be smart enough to be afraid of people." This statement doesn't quite make sense, can you indulge me and explain what you're talking about? |

In one post you said this is because of trauma. You say you have PTSD. That is a disorder that has its roots in fear, yet you claim you're not afraid.
This doesn't add up. Can you see that? |

The fear is not about being afraid of a person. The fear is about not being able to process what happen. The fear is not external... It is fear of my self. It is fear of be able to control myself or fear that I am not going to understand it or fear of not even knowing something happened. And later be told by someone else I should have reacted differently. I am acutely aware that my emotions or perceptions of things do not match what others at large might experiences under similar circumstances. It is not being able to adjust or adapt to what I need to process inside or not perceive at all. The fear is about being competent to understand 1) what happen happen 2) respond appropriately I will put it like this I had cats 1) liked catnip 2) the other had no perception of it and got mad at the other cat as he believe there was something there by the reaction of the others cat but could not process it As for live performances Yes your description of not having stage freight is what I experience. As the worse thing that can happen is you start the piece over. |

I see what I said does not complete the picture which means the adding up part says you are still missing information. I do not say I have PTSD It what the mental health professionals say of me. And based on events that have happened to me created this condition within my brain. |

You not only say you have PTSD in your profile but also that you're learning to cope with it.
