Are you officially diagnosed, or self-diagnosed? I am always wary when someone comes to the board claiming ASPD, because those who actually have the disorder would very likely not create an account here in the first place, because they do not see it as an issue. It seems that 99% of the time, the individual does not have it and they are self-diagnosing.
Thanks for this!

i registered because of my alcoholism and crippling depression but clearly you must know better than the doctor who diagnosed me.

No one ever posts here. So glad that you have.

I only have a couple of ASPD symptoms. I’m interested in your thievery, though.

Did you begin at an early age? Is your thievery ‘petty’ or does it involve planning and risk-taking?

I have been researching how ASPD could have been a possible diagnosis for Theodore Bundy. I have no interest in serial killers as a group, just Bundy as an individual.

Labels are for other people’s attention. Thievery is a lot of fun though I admit. I’ve always been curious what the docs provide for treatment with your illustrious diagnosis. Can’t change a tigers stripes ya know. 😊

You want to be constructive? That’s mighty noble of you. I suppose we can’t be all bad. I for one would love to talk about your escapades if you felt like getting some narcissistic supply.

Oh, I do wish that he would return!

Only a few have ASPD diagnosis... most of us are just borderline, with a few other symptoms from different diagnoses... I have two from ASPD.

Theft. I have an interest in aspects of theft.

Yes, treatment. Only the symptoms, not the disorder, I think.

Yes, the disorder can be quieted, but it is always there, isn’t it? Personality disorders are queer like that; wholly different from mental illnesses.

I seem to be getting mine under wraps pretty well. I'm proud of my efforts.
