I'm fairly new here but I've got a problem and I'm not sure how to address it.
I lack emotion and many of them are fading quickly. I don't feel empathy, very little sympathy, very little remorse and no grief for humans. For whatever reason I feel all of that for animals. I feel like people are guilty and don't deserve anything from me, that the majority should die. But I do feel a whole lot of anger, irritation and joy when appropriate and sometimes when not. Example: my drunk of a mother got drugged and I was pleased to see her suffer. I'm very cold and typically I show no emotion at all. I will temporarily show appreciation or joy when I have progress in muscle development or good grades typically achieved from cheating. In addition to being cold as my mother calls it, I've become very sadistic. When someone pissed me off,

All I'm here for is some sort of possible answer to present and explain why I seem to be fading away. And yes I understand no one here is more than likely a trained professional. Last edited by sabby; May 23, 2017 at 12:28 PM.. Reason: Administrative edit for content adding trigger icon and codes |

What's obviously apparent of anyone who chooses to come onto a forum to enlighten us on why they could be psychopaths, sociopaths or afflicted with ASPD is that they most likely (most likely meaning 99.98%) do not have it. I'm not disregarding what you've said, but someone who's truly affected by this condition wouldn't give half a damn to jump on a forum online to describe why they may possibly be a certain way.
From what I've read, you don't have ASPD - you've simply grown cold from the dire experience you are living in. Also, people can match with a few symptoms of any Cluster B disorder - this does not necessarily mean they are afflicted with it. __________________ alive |

I have just been diagnosed with Sociopathy and Narcissim. I was told to come on to these forums as a form of therapy and find the good and the positive to help myself and others in the same position. Has anyone been able to manage any of their behaviors? Let's chat, anyone!

You show a few signs of sociopathy, but it is unlikely that you have AsPD if you have depression.

Anyone who can stop to self diagnose themselves with ASPD hasn't got it. I didn't know there was anything wrong with me past depression until I had a psych assessment and they diagnosed me during our appointment, I thought my actions/feelings or lack of them were normal.

I agree with swabbingred. Also, do you ever experience feelings of bitterness, excessive hatred or a thirst for revenge or feel frustrated about who to direct your anger at?
