I saw my therapist today and she hinted that i may have panic disorder.... the thought of that scares me....i didnt think my worrying and panic attacks were at that point. i suppose i was wrong. I am glad it has a name, i just figured everyone felt this way. But..does anyone here have this disorder or frequent panic attacks in general? if so, could u tell me ur experiences with it. its not that i dont believe my T, i just wanna make sure its as bad as i explained it to her......hoping that i overexxagerated and this is all a big mistake...

I have had a few panic attackes before too. Its been along time thou.
I have learned if I feel one coming on to do something to take my mind off of it,
Going outside helps me alot.
mine were only once in awhile if i was stressed as thats how they work i think
so if you can try to get your stress level down that may help imo
my thoughts are with you
take care of you

Hi, I have panic disorder. I take medicine for it to. Some people don't want the medicine, but in my case I won't go without it. When I have a panic attack I feel like my body is way out of control. I start sweating really bad. (like I just ran a race) my heart beat goes way up, and I start freaking out wondering what is going on. Not just that my whole entire body starts shaking. Some people start breathing really bad. They feel like their not getting enough air. Without my medicine I would get them at least 5 times a week. I haven't had a panic attack since I started the medicine. I would say that stress really plays a role in it, but in my case I think it has always been in my family. My panic attacks were so bad that I felt like dying. I hope that if you do have this condition that your anxiety is no where near as bad as mine. I go to a psychiatrist. A psychiatrist can set you on the right path as far as medication goes. Before I was adjusted to my medicine she told me that when an attack would come on to count to 5 and breathe in and count back out to 5. This actually worked. Take care and I hope this helps.
