This can be a common issue with anxiety. I don't have any good tips for you, other than telling you about the over-counter-meds available....but if your Heartburn is getting extreme...whether it be related to anxiety or not, I would get it checked out by your MD.

Heartburn can be indicative of an Ulcer which, when stable, may not be to problematic. If left untreated, ulcers can perforate...meaning burn a hole through your stomach or intestines spilling intestinal bacteria into your abdominal cavity which can then lead to a very severe and painful infection.

Heartburn can also be a sign of Heart problems. There have been many instances when people have come in to the hospital for sever heartburn only to find out it's actually heart related chest pain.

Don't mean to scare you...but you should really get it checked out. In the meantime....I would take the over-the-counter remedies, provided you're not allergic, and use them as directed.

If it is bothering you while you sleep, sleeping with double pillows can help. If that's not comfortable, you can lay some pieces of 2x4 under the head of your mattress so it will elevate the head of your bed to a slant.

I hope you feel better....

I get heartburn a lot, and it has a lot to do with my diet. I have a bad habit of drinking way to much coffee. When I consume to much I get the heartburn, or if I drink a lot of juicy drinks. There is a lot of over the counter meds for it which is what I take. If I don't have any over the counter meds I drink lots of water and milk, and it will get rid of it. Hope this helps

Try the two week course of over the counter prilosec. If that doesn't help at least for a few weeks then you need to go see a doc.

Doesn't make me feel better, no meaning to me for sure.
Can't stop you from praying and blessing me,
and if that makes you feel better feel free.
But keep it to yourself please, don't tell me.
And let's all respect each other's feelings.
With kindness, support and "sweet dreamings."
