Lately I've been going into stores wearing my sunglasses .
I don't know why , but I feel more comfortable when I wear them.
I find it difficult making eye contact with people . I probably look out of place or creepy but I don't care . This is something new that I started and I hope it doesn't last too long . I don't want to get too comfortable doing this . I just want to be able to go in without feeling like I'm going to panic , and this helps . I'm on Ativan also , but I still get anxiety when there's a lot of people around .
It won't go away ......I hate the feeling of it ........I know it's only anxiety , and anxiety never killed anyone , but it feels like it's killing me. I was going to ask if anyone else does this , but probably not . I'm a little weird at the best of times.

Actually, I done this for quite a few months when I was battling agoraphobia, it gave me the added confidence I needed. Now, I only do it on bad days...or when the sun is strong

Hugs and wishes this passes soon, Babysteps

I wear sunglasses to feel safer, also. I have this ugly floppy hat I wear when the sun is bright to shield by eyes. I wear glasses already so I have wear clipons or the kind that make people ask if I just had cataract surgery.LOL. I don't really care what people think anymore because I have to do what is best for me. I did get a pair of prescription shades that are lightly tinted for when I am having a particular bad day and need to wear them at work. Rest assured, you are not alone.

I wear a hair tie around my wrist every day, with no intention of putting my hair up. Your post made me realize its my little security blanket, I have been doing this for years and it never occurred to me lol. Maybe we all have a little security thing and we don't even know it On a bad day I actually walked out the door wearing three, two on one wrist and one on the other and did not realize I did it until later. As long as you only wear one pair of sun glasses I think it will be OK tee hee
