I have to get a yearly driver medical exam in order to renew my driver's license.
I am anxious about it because my car is my main mode of transportation. I don't drive if I am sleepy or not feeling well...I take a taxi or I just don't go. Since last years driver medical exam I haven't had a car accident. At last year's driver medical exam my doctor hesitated a bit before he signed the form stating it was safe for me to drive...etc. For the driver medical exam all my doctor does is check my blood pressure and asks me to read an eye chart. And then lists any other medical conditions I may or may not have. I am so scared about this but my logical side of my brain tells me that if he granted me permission to drive last year that he will do the same this year. |

Try to be kind to yourself, do things to treat yourself to try to take your mind of this, it must be very stressful. Good luck at your exam, I hope all goes well. ![]()

If your condition, i.e., responsiveness, ability to concentrate, reaction time, etc, hasn't changed, can't see that he will. They try to use objective criteria.
