Was recently in hospital for a week and it was awful since I don't like being away from home.
The doctors wanted to keep me longer because my white count kept going up. I argued that I was getting sicker by having to stay there. I was discharged & lo and behiold my white count returned to normal. Are docs at all aware of how fear can inhibit cure? Was soooooooooo frustrated trrying to get out of hosp. |

Thank you all for your support.
Still feel anxious about what-if. What if I ever have to go back into the health care system and get a doctor(s) who don't understand anxiety? Wish all medical personel had a least one class lecture on this. Sardean, did your white count go down after being discharged? Does anybody out there know if this is common among anxiety prone patients? |

I was in the hospital a week because of my high white cell count (really bad infection) and on antibiotics to get it down. I hated it in there there (don't know anyone who likes it :-) and had a couple really bad things happen to me, etc.
They didn't understand the infection so didn't get the white count to stay down. I had to figure out what med I needed and solve the problem once and for all three months later.
