My Therapist diagnosed me with GAD, but after reading about anxiety I really feel like it's more than that. When I was a teenager I was treated pretty cruelly by my other classmates. Now I have issues with people in general. I hate meeting new people or being in a crowd. If I have to talk in front of a group I get nervous and panicky. Is it possible to have GAD and Social Anxiety Disorder or would my main problem really be the Social Anxiety? I will ask my Therapist next week, but would appreciate anyone's input. Thanks.

Did your therapist know all of this when he/she made the diagnosis? Of course, other diagnoses are possible.

Personally, I have had so many different labels I do not even bother to keep up with them. I just try to get better.

Be well.
