I was feeling good for a while (maybe a month or two) then this darn blizzard hit......I'm so stressed out it's unbelievable....I couldn't even get the front door open to start shovelling the snow.......and the worst had not even hit yet.....I'd shovel for a while, then take a break....then go back and there was more there than when I left.......Then the next day when it was over....I couldn't believe the volume of effort it was just to get my car visible again......I've been through many a blizzard before but none by myself to shovel and shovel.......Man, talk about relapse
I gotta calm down or something......I can't wait for spring!!!! Did the groundhog see his shadow or what?

Hang in there yutz....

what comes down, melts away finally. Think about how fit physically you are getting. (sore muscles and all) Take it easy, and rest a bit too. Sounds like you are doing that. Darn snow.

When we lived in the upper penninsula in Michigan and we counted out time there in winters! 3 winters for us. We have record snow falls each year...

Normal snow fall is around 200" a year.

winter one 250"
winter two 275"
winter three nearly 300"

It snowed from Oct through May and once while we were there in June!

Not being able to open your door is scary! Our water pipes were at risk of freezing a lot of the time too. I grew up in North Dakota, so I thought I'd seen it all as far as blizzards were concerned. I didn't have a clue!

Have seen more photos on t.v of storm. Gees Louise! You people in that mess have my sympathy. The cars parked on the streets look like giant marshmellows and the trees are bending over to kiss the sidewalks.
Still say we should all migrate way South enmasse.

Hi Yutz!

I'm only a stones throw from Nottingham, and was feeling the snow pain, too! In fact, the heavy snow Saturday, and then more of the same plus wind on Wednesday...uugghhh.

We're ok now, hope you are too!!

Take care,

Miss ya!
Dee

Its sounds very scary. The wind really freaks me out. We don't have snow or much rain. Our dams are the driest they have ever been.

Gardens are dead. Now if we can just work out a way to suck some of the snow up and put it in our dams it would be wonderful.

Or better yet - dump the snow back on the icebergs that are melting? I dunno.

The weather is really out of whack. I hope you all get through it and start to see the flowers pop there heads through the snow.
Thanks for this!

I've never considered it before but I now want to retire somewhere HOT. Not warm, HOT. I'm so tired of soooooooo much snow this year with three more months of snow possibility.

Spring is just a few more weeks away, yatzman. Sorry your GAD was tickled so much. (I hate being tickled).

Yesterday I ventured out because we needed groceries. The parking lots were the worst. But I kept the SUV in 4 wheel drive and plowed through and made it easier for the next person to park without having their rearends sticking out so much.

At least I'm not a postal carrier, having to do all those high stepping moves to get through the high snows.

Our street is a cul-d= sac so when the city plow comes by, our drive way is in a bad spot for gettig plowed in.....

Think Spring (or black fly season if you live in New Hamphire!!!!)

I went to the post office yesterday to pick up a package, and overheard from the back someone over the intercom giving a pep talk speech to the carriers. I feel sorry for anyone who has to deal with this fiasco on a daily basis. It left me with more respect for the men and women who deliver the mail we usually take for granted. I see the carrier for my neighborhood once in a while, and she always has a smile for me........rain snow or shine......
