Hi
A few nights ago I was laying there in bed trying to get to sleep when suddenly I got this mild electrical sensation that went completely across the front of my neck from one end to the other very breifly. I also get weird twitches where my muscles will jump around and do strange things (like a muscle ripple up through my neck, etc). I have a few bad vertabrae in my neck but I have also suffered from anxiety/panic for a long time. I am on Lorazepam and Atarax at the moment. Can/does anxiety cause these electical/twitchy sensations?. Also, I have periods of time where I feel very weak, fatigued and tired (like a limp dish rag) or my stomach will feel a little sensitive. Thank's - GreyGoose |

Sounds stress-related in my humble opinion, but I surely don't know. Also....who knows about the meds...but the vertebrae problem in your neck could certainly contribute.
Try to relax. Seeker |

Hi Grey,
There has been a literature on the side effects of SSRI medications, and one clear side effect is the feeling of electrical shocks. Reading your posts over the last few months I have started to wonder if some of your physical experiences have been side effects to your medications. It would be a simple answer if it was true. It's only a thought, I'm no expert on any of this. Cheers, M |
