Thank you, Dayzee. I book-marked the site, and read the first page.

My 'safety zone' includes the gym down the street and that has been my lifeline.

I still fight the panic and the 'getting out daily' though, so I'll visit the agoraphobia site again.

I have been building a web site directory for all mental health consumers (ppl like us w/T's & PSYdrs) I have almost 75 web sites that address anxiety and/or panic disorders...very few contain anything about agoraphobia! To find one that is 100% agoraphobia-centered was like finding a gold mine!!

I recently spent 6 days isolated in my apt....it wasn't agoraphobia 100%, I have COPD & it was so humid..A/C on for 7 days...cannot even go down to the lobby & get my mail...cannot breathe!! So my first outside "excursion" was to the hospital; on to top it off it was for an outpatient "procedure"! When I was admitted my B/P was sky-rocketed!!!( (I'm normally hypotensive & I was off the charts!)

Yesterday I actually got out b/c my new "haven't seen you in 18 yrs!" friend who picks me up in front of the building & drops me off right in front of the building... Went into a grocery store w/ friend, but still, it totally freaked me out All the noise and ppl....run!

This web site rocks!!

P.S: Anyone interested in checking out a list of excellent web sites for anxiety/panic "disorders" (or "attacks") Send me a PM & I'll attach a list; I have found several to be extremely helpful & contained tons of support & "info"....

PS: Hope you're dealing w.your depression better than me...I feel like a sinking ship....these damn "depresive episodes"
