Is CBT "alternative"? yes, that i've tried-and used for many years--it's a part of my way of thinking now.
Hypnosis? like you mean to get you to stop being anxious? I ne/er heard of it. Maybe they do do it for anxiety-i dunno----sorry i couldn't give you more info- someone else might know though--(((feary))) |

I only had a few sessions with a psychologist, but hypnosis was very very relaxing and the effect stayed with me for a day or so toward the end. I would do it again, but at the time I was looking more for talk therapy, so I found a psychoanalyst and now that's what I do.
It was progressive. The more we did it, the longer the relaxed state lasted. I try to do some on my own, but I can't achieve the same deep level of relaxation. Good luck if you decide to try it! |

My pdoc recommended that I take fish oil for anxiety. With Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids. I have been better since taking it, but I also started taking Zyprexa at the same time. So I don't know the degree to which it is working for me. Perhaps you should ask your doc about it. I have also tried self hypnosis and found that it helps me to relax. I hope that you find something that works
