Does anyone ever feel like they have their anxiety under control only to go to sleep and have nightmare after nightmare about all your worries and stressers? That was me last night and today I was exhausted and aggitated. What do you do to quash those fears you thought you had?

I take medication for my panic attacks. I hate those kind of nightmares and they wipe me out. It is like you are starting over in the morning trying to conquer the fears and phobias and stressers. I try to do something to keep me busy. Put headphones on and listen to something calming to keep the thoughts out of my head. I sometimes leave my headphones on all night with the bible on cd to put positive thoughts in my mind. I, also, am a member of Club Pogo, a game site, and I will start playing a game I never played before and work on mastering it. I learned to play golf in a week. I am still trying to figuire out how to get a high score in PC game room.

I don't mind anxiety dreams because they are one's body/brain trying to work on the anxiety while you are asleep so you can function better when you are awake. When you are asleep, your conscious mind that works to keep anxiety "under control" during the day is not in charge, your unconscious is, where the true action is. How you fight the "monsters" in your dreams can help you be a better, more confident person by day.

Good luck in finding a solution, psjeff. What I did was practice thinking about pleasant thoughts while falling asleep, and relentlessly returning to the pleasant thoughts whenever pursued by demons.
