I been suspended from my job for three weeks w/out pay and I'm so stressed and anxious. I'm a single parent and the sole provider for my family so it's hard for me. I 'm at home thinking of bills, how I'll put food on the table and whether or not I'll eventually be let go. My anxiety is through the roof right now and I'm struggling to cope.

Was the suspension illness related?

No it was for violating company policies. I did something wrong and I understand I should be reprimanded, but I didn't think it would be this harsh. Paula |

Do you have family/friends who can give you some support right now? Check and see if you're eligible for short-term assistance and/or unemployment.

I don't think you'll be let go since you're "government" and your job is generally understaffed everywhere and you have experience (would cost more to replace you than to reinstate you).
How long have you been off work and how long do you have to go? Do you have a credit union you could get a small, personal loan from when you get reinstated to make sure you keep the bills pretty much up-to-date? I always found it was much harder to play catch-up if I got behind than to pay back over time.
