Does anyone ever freeze up when they have to sign their name on an important document? I can sign anything, anytime, if it is non-important. It just falls out of my fingers, but when the process jams up, it is like writing with my left hand. This happens to me whenever I have to sign a new credit or debit card, or like today, a new driver's license. At least with a card I can "practice" repeated on paper then "sneak" the card in and do it again. At the very busy motor vehicle office I had 2 chances and when with the one that looked like a 2nd grader who did not yet know cursive script. I hope no one important needs to look at it for a comparison as they might immediately confiscate everything and call the cops.

interesting . . . whenever i was working and had a lot of anxiety and other problems, i had difficulty writing anything by hand. i love post-it notes so would stick them to the printer paper and have all my notes printed because i would waste over 10 post-its trying to write by hand something legible. i believe handwriting can show decline in mental functioning. i think that is why it bothered me so much trying to write in "my real" handwriting; i thought i can't control many crazy things in my life but i "should" be able control my hand! it's okay to make mistakes. let your signature be what it is at that moment.
