So today i finally called my dr. He put me on cymbalta after switching from celexa due to the side effects. Well i told him i was having anxiety issues. He said the cymbalta was suppose to help. WEll it didnt I called today and asked if there was a PRN he could perscribe for anxiety because the chest pain has been becoming more frequent and i cant concentrate on school which i have a deciding final in less than a week. My friend died this morning unexpectadly. And im moving back into my parents house becuase i lost my job a few months ago. My dr. never called me back. I don't know what to do! I have class in the morning but i don't want to go because i can't focus.

If you just lost a friend, it's understandable for you not to show up in class. Take a day off--a few days off!--and take care of yourself. I hope you find a good med for you, too.

Can you talk to your instructor and ask for an incomplete for the class so you can have extended time to finish? And flunking a class isn't the end of the world. Trust me I had a job all lined up and then I flunked my final semester of school and had to repeat the semester plus decline the job. I would think the priority now would be getting your head straight and you are taking the steps to do that. Call your doctor again tomorrow.

((((need2be_me)))),

Cymbalta is a good med for depression but I agree with you that it only barely takes the edge off anxiety...I take xanax .05mg if and when I need it, but not every day...it takes about an hour ot so to work but it does work...but if you ask for that please make sure you don't take it all the time...it is addictive and you don't need that problem...

Sending you hugs,

Rhiannon
