for as long as i can remember i've had this odd phobia, riding in cars / fear of driving... i've drove 1 time maybe 20 feet and i've not done it since (i was drunk when i attempted this)

i am deathly afraid while riding and absolutely refuse to drive...

is there anyone else here that suffers from this?

I do. I cant get in a car without a major panic attack that usually ends in me throwing up or dissociating.

Personally, I don't have a fear of riding in cars/driving but my grandma has a major fear of driving cars. She used to be able to drive around our tiny town (25000 people or so), but she had a heart attack last year and doesn't drive at all. If she did drive though apparently, she would be in a wreck. It would be considered unsafe to drive because she is considered a "nervous driver". I feel it's more than that and it's anxiety. I hope that I won't have this fear. I am sorry you have to live with this. Hope you learn some strategies in the future .
