I posted something just now in Health Support, under "anyone relate to invasive procedure phobia?"

Was not sure if it was appropriate for that forum.

It is about my upcoming dr's appt. I have to have a procedure done because of sinus trouble.

I am a survivor of abuse, have ptsd and hate it when ppl have to touch me very deeply or do anything drastic to my physical, mental, or spiritual body.

ty,

Billi

I'm really sorry and I can definitely relate to your fears. I have sinus trouble too and I keep putting off having the CT scan because I have to remain still and that freaks me out (my phobia relates to being confined).

Are you able to take something (a benzo) before you go and have someone accompany you? I really hope the procedure goes as well as possible. I know that sinus issues are a big pain (literally) so if the end result is no more sinus issues then that is definitely something very positive to focus on.

Good luck!! ((((((Billi))))))) Please let us know how it goes.
