have terrible anxiety about medication when they first start it?

...yeah. And alot of other new starts/steps that could be beneficial for ongoing recovery.

Hi ((((Elana)))) Yes, I do. I didn't used to have this problem, but in recent years it's become a huge issue for me (I don't know why. I think maybe it's because my anxiety generally has become a lot worse).

If I've taken the medication before and been ok, then I don't have a problem. But any new medication really scares me, and 9 times out of 10 I won't take it. It's not just psychiatric meds which are the issue, but any meds. Even OTC stuff.

Partly it's because I always read the pamphlet listing possible side effects and that never fails to worry me.....

But it sounds like you're already taking your new meds, so that's great!! I really hope you tolerate them well and that your anxiety wears off as your system adjusts to the medication. Good luck!
