I just got on disability four or five months ago and moved into great new apt. 2 months ago almost ,I was living with friends in Peyton Colorado for 2 years and I am almost afraid to think of this as home because I have a continuining disability review in a year and a half and I fear them taking disability away and me having to go back to my friends which was ok but a very difficult two years, living with seven kids ranging from five to eighteen. No privacy at all and they were very um outspoken kids who thought depression was just laziness on my part. I don't know Im just so scared of something all the time it seems and just enjoying life is tough> Best thing I learned was to Stay in the Moment from DBT therapy that I went to, that works well in calming my nerves and I;ve enjoyed nice walks and views of the mountains here in Colorado Springs, and I am enjoying a home where everything works and if it doesn't maint. responds and fixes it right, for first time since moving out from my parents do I NOT have slum lords so I am enjoying that immensely. Oh I am agoraphobic and have not yet been able to get myself to call DMV to get COlorado ID and then I have to find out cost and let payee know and have her get me the money and go down there, once I have that ID I can apply for Medicaid and Food Stamps. Bussing it is also a new experience for me and I am very anxoius about that, I tackled the bus that goes to walmart and the one that goes downtown but thats it so far, haven't ventured much further than that. Thank you for listening.

It's amazing you made such a big move! Moving is really stressful and anxiety-provoking for just about everybody. So well done for managing to do that! I'm very glad you're liking your new apartment. And I hope you soon feel at home in your new environment
