Hello!
I'm new here and I have OCD. I have a husband and 2 children and I'm 23 years old.
I'm sick and tired of this disorder, so that I can cry. New here!
I'm afraid of all infections, virus and bacterium. I can´t touch anything outside my home that is public. At home I function better and feel more free. Yes, I wash my hands all the time, but not nearly that much I use to do. I hope I can find more people like me here!?
Karolina!

Hi there. I'm another OCD sufferer. That is what I do alot of the time...I suffer. But sometimes life is truly wonderful. I think I'm different to you in the way OCD affects me. I have alot of obssessions and most compulsions are needing to have things just right or stuff to do with germs.
I had a time for almost a year where I had blasphemous obsessions constantly. I would be confessing constantly only to have the thoughts butting in while I was trying to confess. Terrible guilt is my companion alot of the time.
It's only the last 4 months that I have finally started getting adequate help. Before that it was hard to know what on earth my problem was.
Anyway, enough about me. It's very nice to meet you. Glad you came to psychcentral.

P.S Don't you just love my signature. Mental pollution made it for me. I love it. It's perfect!

I'm new here too and the best thing is knowing you're not alone. I am obsessed with germs and disease and I know it can consume your life. I have two children (ages 8 and 2) and its hard to be the parent you want to be when so much time is spent in fear. You are not alone. Just keep your head up and as bad as it gets remember how wonderful your family is.
