I don't leave the house. I need someone to smack me across the face and push me out the front door, because I just can't do it myself. No amount of conventional therapy and medicine will save me, and I guess I'm at the end of my rope. I'm so desperate I can taste it.

Is there some sort of social phobia anonymous group for small towns? I'm in dire need of one that's within 100 miles of my desolate area (Upstate New York, USA, ick). It's hard feeling so trapped and alone every single second.

You can search by your area and what kind of group you are looking for. I did New York, NY and found a couple for social anxiety, maybe one will be close to you?

I don't have social anxiety but can you try taking small steps?
-Sit in your backyard
-Sit in your front yard
-Go for a walk
-Go to a quiet mall or library
etc
Thanks for this!
