I completely agree with this. I've never been hugged while having a panic attack, but I think if someone means a lot to you and you are ok with them hugging you, the comfort of a hug is enough to calm you down.

I totally agree with this. In fact, I know this to be truth from experience. During one of my bad panic attacks, one of my friends (one of the few people who have seen me go through these) came up to me and gave me a hug. She continued to hug me until the panic attack started to subside. That was the best thing anyone could have done for me at that moment.
