Hi, does anyone know if tension headaches and TMJ can affect vision? I developed floater and bright spots in my eyes. Eye doc says wait three months and it it does not resolve then get and MRI. I logically know I should just put it out of mind and wait. But fear of blindness claws at me every day. I am getting so tired. Theoretically I know what to do, deep breathing, relaxation, yoga. But I am so tired. And so disappointed with myself. Any tips on fear management that a very tired person could do?

Sorry that you're feeling so scared and out of control.

Remind yourself often that you do have some control over things. Close your eyes and picture yourself at the ocean, a lake, or in the mountains. Imagine that as well as you possibly can. The sounds of water crashing down loudly, seagulls making a distant racket. Or a stream of water gently trickling over the rocks. You can feel the crisp air on your face. The sunlight feels good, relaxing, on your skin. You can smell the trees. So fresh and invigorating! (Or the smell of the ocean, with sunscreen smell, kids playing in the water happily, etc.) Feel the sand or the moist soil at your feet. Imagine grabbing a hold of some soil or sand, for closer inspection. A rock catches your eye. Be in that moment as much as you possibly can.

How do you feel in your safe spot? You can let yourself feel comfortable and safe enough to let go completely. Let go of all of your worries and stress while you're there for X amount of time. When you come back to, you'll feel a little bit better. More focused, less frazzled. Use that safe spot to go to whenever you are feeling overwhelmed, to help you gain a better perspective towards life.

Best wishes to you!
