why do ppl make us feel smal or that we have done wrong even if we havent,
when it was time to leave work this morning i had to do a hand over to the day staff so they could tell if our residents needed anything diferant today and what sort of night they had had,
i normally do this but today was diferant normally i only manage to tell normal day staff as the assistant mangers arent allways there but they are easy to talk to, but today the manager from the other home who is doing a couple of days a week at ours was in before i left and came into the room were i was doing hand over, she didnt do or say anything realy other than sat with her hands over her face which made me feel realy bad while i was speaking she kept looking through her fingers so by the time i went through the back door my self confidance had gone and by the time i got home i felt like i didnt want to go back again and they could stick there job, i thought about phoneing up and asking the assistant manger to ask if i had done something wrong but i didnt i just cried my nubby hugged me then went to sleep i feel a little better but i know she is due again the morning after my next shift

Many people do this very thing as to make themselves feel IMPORTANT or appear BETTER.... they need so much that they are willing to step on another living human being to achieve it, hence they feel good about their own stupid pathetic life.

Hi Katheryn,

I think that this person was playing games with you, just like so many bosses do with their employees. It's a power thing IMHO.

I used to take stuff like this home with me, and it's no good for us. Wish I had the answer, but I just have empathy with you.

It sounds like you are doing some good work where you are, and that's what really matters IMHO.

When I was teaching the managers used to think that I worked for them, but I didn't, I worked for the students, not for the managers.

Good thoughts, M

thank you both for your kind words i am feeling better today and i am going to work on thurs night , i belive this manger is in on fri morn but like you said it should be left at work , why should i let ppl like that ruin the job i enjoy the person i actually work with is brilliant and wont stand for any nonsense , but it would be better if they had a full time manger as thyen we wouldnt keep going in after other ppl finish and picking up there mess taking time away from the actual care we do
