Ever since I started wearing contact lenses I feel better in public. Because when I wear glasses it feels like people automatically think you're a nerd or something and they also feel like a weakness, I mean if someone attacked me or tried to rob me, all they'd have to do is knock my glasses away and that's it, I'm completely defenceless.
I used to just keep them for sports but decided to wear them more often, it's pretty awesome and it does make me feel happier too.

I'm happy for you! It's a small thing, really, but it sounds as if it's giving you a big lift. I'm glad you realized it would make such a difference.

I got contacts when I was 17 and felt the same way. I was always known as that girl with the glasses, because I had to start wearing them from age 6. I had the awful 80's plastic lenses too. Even to this day, although I have glasses that are much more attractive
