Not joking. I have a fear of looking at myself in the mirror. I have anorexia so I guess that's part of it. But I just hate seeing my face in the mirror. It's worst in the morning. I just don't get it!

Hi lightningscar8.

Have you ever tried a self-help course to manage or overcome anorexia? Or alternatively, you could try doing therapy. Sometimes our mental problems are too big to treat on our own. Sometimes you need extra help.

Here are some examples of books that could help: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_no...orexia&x=0&y=0

Sorry to hear you are struggling atm, I hope you get better in the future.

Thanks! I have actually gone through treatment. But its actually my face I don't want to look at. I have some acne that I really hate ( I know, pathetic teen woes! Anyway I'm taking some stuff for it and its actually healing pretty nicely). But I have had acne for awhile and I was fine with it. Now I get really nervous near a mirror.

Hi
The real issue is low self esteem and low self confidence. Try to develop a few which will give you some pride and confidence. In the meantime, Every night right before you go to bed, in the mirror and look deep into the pupils of your eyes (not at your eyes) and say your Self three times "I love you unconditionally, and I respect who you are and what you're".Also repeat the same action as soon as you awake.
Really sorry for you. goodluck.
