I have the dx of GAD, ADHD, OCD and Social Anxiety. But I think something else may be going on. I was wondering if anyone else here gets these symptoms from GAD. I mentioned the possability to my psych of being BPD and she said she really didn't think so. She thinks it may be anxiety- but if my anxiety doesn't subside soon- then she will start looking at Bipolar. So, here are my "symptoms". I know no one here is a doc, and you can't diagnose me, but I'm wondering if in practacality these are symptoms of BPD as well as GAD.

1. I'm always afraid everyone hates me.
2. People either love me or hate me.
3. I have to be best friends with someone, or not at all friends.
4. If someone takes too long answering me (texts) I automatically start writing them out of my life and get MAD at them. But then when they answer, they are my BFF again right away.
5. Things are right or wrong...no in between. For me atleast. I can see gray areas for other people. But not in a situation where I'm involved.
6. I get so mad. so irritated.
7. my emotions fluctuate so much- its rediculous.
8. If I feel someone doesn't understand EXACTLY what I'm saying I have to tell them and explain OVER and OVER until I'M sure they get it.....
9. If I do something "wrong" (go to walmart when I told hubby I'm going to kmart) I MUST* tell him asap or I'm a horrid liar.
10. I hate making decisions on my own. (i.e. what bills to pay right now) Its like I freeze.
11. I have a hard time going anywhere without my husband. Period.
12. I do have one phobia. I believe it's pretty harsh.
13. If someone tells me they are going to call "so and so" first and they call someone else first, then they lied to me.
14. I have a SEVERE phobia of anyone that could "get me in trouble". I wrote about it in another forum - it is the forum that is for unspecified disorders.

that's all I can think of right now...but, there may be more.

I think a lot of these things have to do with a low self esteem. Something I've discovered about ADHD, is that it can cause us to grow up making silly mistakes. As we get older, we fear that any mistake we make will be criticized.

I hadn't either until my appointment today! I've found that most of my insecurities can somehow be related back to the effect of ADHD on me when I was younger.
